American Yellowwood (Cladrastis kentukea) The American Yellowwood can put on one of the most spectacular flowering displays of any tree species. The blossoms appear in late spring, when numerous wisteria-like foot-long flower clusters droop from the branches. The color is normally white, but can be pink. In either case, a mature tree in full bloom is a stunning sight. In recognition of its beauty, the species was given the prestigious Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Gold Award in 1994. Starting to heat up in smartphone marketing land…
Flash 10.1 available on 19 of 20 Smartphones and Flash CS5 to support ‘save as’ iPhone app. The ‘missing number 20’ of course is Flash 10.1 for the iPhone, i.e., the Flashplayer which Apple still won’t permit. As a very nice work around, Flash CS 5 will provide a mechanism to publish a Flash app as a native iPhone app (.IPA). The value of this is pretty compelling as a developer can now leverage one toolset to produce content that seamlessly targets multiple devices (PC, smartphone, and soon TVs), multiple browsers and multiple OS (9+). Last estimate I saw put the Flash developer community at 1M+.
Very interesting article that indicates talking to young babies from day one is critical and not happening enough. I remember talking to Jasper about things we saw on our walks when he was 2 months old…
new group focused on redevelopment of Frederick, MD’s east side. Bring it on!
New perspective on origins of the human species; details released today of “fossils from a 4.4-million-year-old human forebearer they say reveals that our earliest ancestors were more modern than scholars assumed and deepens the evolutionary gulf separating humankind from today’s apes and chimpanzees.”
