Palm Axes Windows Mobile Phones -- InformationWeek
Palm CEO announces they are no longer developing for the Windows Mobile platform and instead will focus on their own WebOS. This may be a sign of weakness for Palm and driven by a desire to save money by not having to pay Microsoft royalties. Per the article it weakens Microsoft’s market share in the burgeoning smartphone market.
